Total’s Port Arthur Refinery Prepares Restart After Power Loss

Total is preparing to restart multiple units at its Port Arthur refinery in Texas that were shut due to a sudden power loss on Jan. 16., the company said in a notice.

  • “At this time, our personnel are working to prepare the facility for a safe restart and taking all appropriate actions to minimize the environmental impact on the surrounding community,” it said.
  • Affected units were shut Jan. 16 after a loss of power at the site.
