Transneft Received Order for Kazakh Crude for 2024

Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft has received orders from Kazakhstan for 2024 to deliver oil through the Druzhba pipeline, Transneft’s deputy head Sergei Andronov told TASS.

  • The volumes for 2024 have not been disclosed yet. In 2023, KazTransOil booked 1.2mn tons of Druzhba capacity for supplies to Germany.
  • Kazakhstan plans to ship another 1.2mn tons of oil via Russia to Germany next year. As of early July, it transported 290,000 tons of oil the Germany, General Director of KazTransOil pipeline operator Amirzhan Ospanov said last month.
  • He also said that Transneft has not revised its oil pumping plans for this year, despite Russia’s extension of its voluntary production cuts.
