US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are up slightly Tuesday in the return from the
President's Day holiday.
- The Mar 19 T-Note future is up 1/32 at 122-025, having traded in a range of
121-30 to 122-045 so far.
- A bit of bull steepening in the The 2-Yr yield is down 1.2bps at 2.5017%, 5-Yr
is down 1bps at 2.4829%, 10-Yr is down 0.2bps at 2.6608%, and 30-Yr is up 0.1bps
at 2.9944%.
- Main highlight of the day amid a thin data calendar is Cleveland Fed`s Mester
speaking at 0850ET/1350GMT on the economic outlook and monetary policy at U of
Delaware.
- China's top trade envoy, Liu He, will visit Washington this Thursday & Friday.
- S&P 500 E-Minis at intraday low, off 0.33%. Plenty of earnings on tap with
2.6% of the S&P500 due to report today - notably Walmart, Medtronic and Ecolab.
