TTF Prices Recover Most of Earlier Losses

NATURAL GAS

European gas prices slumped as much as 9% earlier this morning with LNG imports into the region soaring but have recovered some losses later into the session.

  • Europe is being tested by its first real cold snap this winter which is taking its toll on gas inventories.
  • Inflows from the UK’s three liquefied natural gas terminals are at record levels for the time of year while shipments of the fuel to northwest Europe are also near an all-time high.
  • TTF JAN 23 down -3% at 135€/MWh
