TTF Steady Before EU Energy Plans Unveiled

European gas is holding steady ahead of the today’s announcement from European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen for their plans to address the energy crisis.

    • TTF OCT 22 up 2.6% at 203.68€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 22 up 0.4% at 204.5€/MWh
  • The plans look likely to include a price cap on non gas power generation prices, mandatory demand cuts and measures to help liquidity but not a cap on imported gas prices.
  • Supply is relatively unchanged today with transit via Ukraine at 42.4mcm/d and Norway flows nominated for 265.4mcm/d due to ongoing maintenance.
  • European storage is now up to 84.23% with Germany to 88.49%, Italy to 86.12%, France to 94.2% and the Netherlands to 83.89%.
