UK CBI Order Books Balance was broadly ine line with consensus, printing -22 (vs -23 consensus, -32 prior) in August, again remaining below the long run average of -13.

  • Expectations for average selling price for next three months increased to 15 (from 2 in July) - returning to May's level and now above the long run average of 7.
  • Survey conducted between 26 July and 13 August, with 222 manufacturing firms responding.
