US Edges Higher to Halt Recent Decline

US Natgas edges higher to halt the recent decline due to warm weather, strong production, and the ongoing restriction to LNG exports capacity.

    • US Natgas FEB 23 up 2.4% at 3.8$/mmbtu
  • The current outlook shows above normal temperatures extending through the two week forecast although western areas are expected to fall back towards normal from the middle of the month. Domestic demand is today estimated just below the seasonal normal at 92.8bcf/d.
  • Lower 48 dry gas production was up at 101.7bcf/d over the weekend having set a new record high at 102.1bcf/d on 6 Jan.
  • Deliveries to LNG export terminals are today slightly down on last week at 12.25bcf/d while exports to Mexico are steady at around 6.2bcf/d.
