US: US equity markets start the session mixed, with NASDAQ leading while the
DJIA lags as markets trade with little direction Monday. US 10yr yields continue
to trade either side of the 2.10% mark and with no event risk left on the
calendar for the Monday session it may stay that way. The greenback is holding
much of the firm Friday gains but still has a way to go before challenging the
levels last seen in the first few trading sessions of June.
Commodities trade slightly softer, with WTI crude futures nudging back toward
the $52/bbl level with Brent not far behind. Precious metals are generally flat,
but gold has staged a decent recovery from a heavy morning throughout European
hours.
A speech from ECB's Draghi is the sole risk event left on the calendar Monday,
as he gives opening remarks at the ECB policy forum in Sintra, Portugal being
held over the coming three days.
