US Gasoline Prices Rise While Diesel Falls: EIA

US retail gasoline prices rose to $3.104/gal in the week to Dec. 1, according to the EIA. This is up 0.5% on the previous week.

  • Prices saw the highest rise in the East Coast, up 3% to $3.173/gal, while prices in the Rocky Mountains saw the sharpest fall, down 2.9% to $3.092/gal.
  • Meanwhile, diesel prices were down 1.3% to $4.092/gal.
  • Prices fell most in the Midwest, down 2.2% to $4.025/gal, while East Coast prices saw the largest rise, up 0.4% to $4.139/gal.
