US LNG Export Cargo Numbers Rise Despite Curtailed Feedgas

The number of US LNG export cargoes rose to 29 last week, according to the EIA despite a drop in feedgas flows to US LNG export terminals.

  • Total capacity of the vessels was up to 105bcf based on Bloomberg data. The most recent previous data for the week to June 12 showed 25 cargoes with in capacity of 94bcf..
  • Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals decreased by 0.4bcf/d from last week, averaging 12.2bcf/d, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
  • Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana fell 5.3% (0.4bcf/d) to 7.2bcf/d while deliveries to South Texas fell 0.3% (less than 0.1bcf/d) to 3.8bcf/d.
  • US LNG export terminal feedgas flows are today estimated up to 12.9bcf/d, according to Bloomberg. A daily increase is driven primarily by a recovery in Sabine Pass feedgas although flows remain nearly 1bcf/d below the highs seen at times earlier this year.
