US LNG Netbacks Remain More Profitable to Asia: BNEF

Asia continues to be the premium market for US LNG until at least November as of June 7, with the JKM-TTF spread widening, according to BNEF.

  • For July delivery, Asia earns a netback of $8.16/MMBtu down 15 cents/MMBtu. Meanwhile, Europe earns a netback of $7.01/MMBtu for July, down 19 cents/MMBtu.
  • For August, the Asia netback is $7.92/MMBtu, down 15 cents/MMBtu. This remains above Europe’s $7.01/MMBtu netback for August, down 19 cents/MMBtu.
  • In September, Asia’s netback is $8.15/MMBtu, down 14 cents/MMBtu, while Europe’s netback is $7.27/MMBtu, down 19 cents/MMBtu.
