US Retail Gasoline Prices Rise 0.4%: Bloomberg

US retail gasoline prices rose to $3.310/gal in the week to June 14, up 0.4%, according to the EIA cited by Bloomberg.

  • This still puts average prices down by 4% year-over-year.
  • Prices in the Midwest Region rose the most, up 2% to $3.244/gal. West Coast prices saw the largest fall, down 1.9% to $4.029/gal.
  • Looking at diesel prices across the US, the average was $3.735/gal, up 2.1% on the week. This puts diesel prices down 2.1% on the year.
  • The largest rise came in the Midwest, up 3.1% on the week to $3.621/gal. The smallest rise came from the West Coast, up 0.9% to $3.658/gal.
  • U.S. retail gasoline demand fell 1.5% for the week ending June 15 and modelled at 8.790mb/d, according to GasBuddy.
