US TSYS: Minor Pressure Ahead Of PCE

US TSYS
  • Treasuries see a small sell-off ahead of the July PCE report, which sees 2Y yields push above yesterday’s post-data high to 3.9145%, although it's already retreated to 3.908%.
  • Yields are only back into the low end of recent ranges on a generic basis having stepped lower with the new 2Y benchmark after Tuesday’s auction.
  • The curve sits twist flatter on the day, with 2s10s at -5bps (-2bp).
  • Fed Funds still fairly close to where they were as US desks filtered in, implying 33bp of cuts for Sep 18 and a cumulative 100bp to year-end.
