DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD slipped 34 pips overnight and last sits at C$1.3206,
having tested the psychological C$1.3200 level a few times in the last hour or
so. The pair's move occurred mostly on the back of broader USD weakness, as the
greenback was the session's big underperformer. Oil traded flat with WTI last
dealing at $52.6/barrel.
- Bears need a fall below the C$1.3200 figure before shifting focus to the
100-DMA/Jan 9 low at C$1.3182/80. Meanwhile, initial resistance is located at
yesterday's high of C$1.3259, ahead of the cloud top at C$1.3275.
- CPI data headlines the Canadian docket for next week, which is otherwise
rather dry.
