DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD trades 20 or so pips shy of best levels, last C1.3635, 55
pips higher on the day, with WTI trading lower & U.S. equity index futures
struggling on the back of the FX flash crash & Apple revising its Q1 guidance
lower.
- Rate continues to trade within its recent range. Monday saw USD/CAD hit a
fresh cycle high of C$1.3665, with bulls looking for a close above her. Any
breach is set to switch topside focus to the 61.8% retracement level at
C$1.3686, ahead of the May 2017 highs at C$1.3793. Initial support noted at
yesterday's low of C$1.3569.
- Canadian labour market data, due Friday, headlines the CA economic docket this
week.
