DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY has edged slightly lower, while staying within a ~25 pip
range in the Asia-Pac session and trades at Y112.81 at writing.
- Headlines re: Brexit matters triggered risk on flows, which failed to push the
pair higher as the greenback ran out of steam, with the DXY moving away from
recent highs, as USD/JPY holds lower after outperforming the USD during the
month-end London fix yesterday.
- The initial downside target remains intact, as focus falls on the 21-DMA at
Y112.62, with a any move below set to return the outlook to neutral, while a
move below broken trendline resistance turned support at Y112.20 would allow
bears to regain control. Conversely, bulls need to move through the
psychological Y113.00 level before trying to retake yesterday's highs of
Y113.39.
