USD Loses Some Ground As Tsy & Equity Futures Tick Higher

As the Asia Pac morning session unfolds we are seeing more USD weakness. Higher beta FX gains are now up to 0.30%. NOK is the best performer, closely followed by NZD, which was last near 0.6025/30. AUD/USD trails slightly, last near 0.6700, up around 020%. EUR around JPY are around 0.15% higher at this stage.

  • The BBDXY is off 0.20%, last near 1253.6. MXN is outperforming in the EM space, last around 0.40% firmer.
  • The main focus remains on US Presidential race now that Biden has dropped out. Some of the Trump reflation theme has cooled modestly, in line with slightly lower Republican election odds.
  • US Tsy futures have ticked modestly higher, while US equity futures are also higher, led by the Tech side.
