FOREX: USD received a boost after the Senate advances US Funding Bill to end
government shutdown.
-The USD continued heavy in early NY but soon reversed on positive government
shutdown talks.
-Eur/Usd rallied to $1.2260 but later eased to $1.2225 after an NBC news source
story that said the US Senate has enough votes to approve a stopgap funding bill
to end the government shutdown. Eur/Jpy led gains later squeezed to $1.2250.
-The early USD sales saw cable lift to fresh post-Brexit highs of $1.3970,
before easing to the $1.3940/45 area. Cross demand later supported to print
fresh highs of $1.3979. Eur/Gbp touched pullback lows of Gbp0.8765.
-Usd/Jpy was quick to pare Asia/European losses on the NBC news sources story,
rate squeezed through Y111.00 to print extended recovery highs of Y111.22.
-AUD, NZD & CAD all printed session highs in early NY, but later pared gains
after the USD rallied on positive government shutdown talks.
-Markets look to the BoJ tomorrow with main focus around Governor Kuroda's press
conference and forward projections.
