Venezuelan Crude and Fuel Exports Tick Higher in November

Venezuela exported 619,300 bpd of crude and fuel last month according to Refinitiv – as sales lifted 16% versus October.

  • Crude and fuel exports for the year have averaged 620,000 bpd to date, slightly lower than 2021. Most of November’s cargoes were for China.
  • Limited flows of condensate from Iran are behind a month-over-month decline in Venezuelan crude production, to 716,000 b/d in November according to Argus sources. Most Venezuelan crude is heavy or extra heavy and requires blending with condensate to make it easier to move by pipeline.
  • The Venezuelan Oil Chamber said separately production averaged 710,000 b/d in November.
