Venezuelan Crude Exports Tick Higher September

Venezuela’s oil exports topped 800,000 bpd in September, the second highest monthly pace this year according to Refinitiv.

  • Venezuela has been looking to increase its production and exports but has been hit by numerous power and production issues as it seeks to reach production of 1mn bpd.
  • PDVSA and its partners shipped an average 812,000 bpd of crude and fuel in September, mainly to China.
  • Chevrons exports from Venezuela to the US left at 145,000 bpd, flat versus the month prior.
  • Venezuela reported crude output of 820,000 bpd in August, above the 810,000 bpd it produced in July, for an accumulated average of some 785,000 bpd so far this year.
