Venture Global LNG Asks to Keep Documents Confidential

Venture Global LNG delivered a proposed protective order to keep its commissioning documents confidential March 14, according to Reuters.

  • FERC had given the US LNG exporter five days to provide the protective order.
  • Venture Global’s offtakers, including BP, Shell, Repsol, Edison, Galp, and Orlen have objected to the producer’s lack of transparency.
  • They have previously accused Venture Global of selling commissioned cargoes on the spot market. Meanwhile they have not been able to get their volumes because the plant has not moved from commissioning to commercial operations.
