POWER: VikingLink, German-Denmark Cables Face 18-Day Capacity Cuts On 27 Jan

Power flows on the 1.45GW VikingLink between the UK-Denmark (Dk1) and the 2.5GW German-Denmark power cable will curtail capacities on 27 January for 18 days in a planned outage, latest Remit data show. 

  • The 1.45GW Viking link will run at just 700MW over 27 January-14 February in both directions.
  • The 2.5GW German-Denmark power cable will run at 900MW in the Danish-German direction and 950MW in the other direction over the same period.
