Warmer Forecasts Dent US Nat Gas Prcies

US natural gas prices have lost most of yesterday’s gains as longer-term forecasts indicate milder weather over the Christmas period and the Freeport LNG restart drags on.

  • Freeport LNG is expected to be fully back in service in the first quarter of 2023, boosting demand by two-billion cubic feet per day.
  • It has been held back by a long list of conditions by the regulator before restart since the fire damage in June.
  • US Natgas JAN 23 down -5.5% at 6.56$/mmbtu.
