What to watch

OUTLOOK
  • The highlight of the day may well come from a speech by BOE Chief Economist Huw Pill in New York entitled "The UK Economic and Monetary Policy Outlook" with the text due to be released today at 15:30GMT / 16:30CET. We will also hear from the Fed's Bostic and Daly today.
  • Tomorrow we will hear from Fed's Powell, BOE's Bailey, ECB's Schnabel, de Cos and Knot, Bundesbank's Buch, BOJ's Kuroda and BOC's Macklem (among many others) at a Riksbank event on central bank independence.
  • It is a big week for issuance in the Eurozone and we pencil in gross nominal issuance of E47.1bln, which would be in the top 10 week's of issuance since the beginning of 2019.
  • The main data of the day has already been released with German industrial production a little soft.
  • In terms of other data this week, we will receive industrial production data from a number of Eurozone countries through the week but Friday is the biggest day with UK monthly activity data, Swedish inflation, Eurozone IP and Michigan inflation expectations data the headline releases
