UK: With Labour vote collapsing in its historic heartlands and the Conservatives
on course for a large majority there is significant media focus on future of
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
- If the exit poll is right it would be the worst result for Labour since 1935,
and it would be very difficult for Corbyn and his shadow chancellor John
McDonnell to hold onto the leadership .
- However, over the course of the Corbyn leadership the party's National
Executive Committee and many constituency Labour parties have been restructured
with their leaderships now strongly pro-Corbyn. 
- As such should Corbyn want to stay as leader it may not be as easy for those
opposed to him to get a new leader.
