OIL OPTIONS
A total of 627mbbls of open July 24 options positions on CME and ICE are currently due to expire against the July future close today. Current aggregate open interest is 321k call contracts and 307k puts.
- The open interest across all WTI options on both exchanges has fallen this month with calls currently at 1.67m and puts at 1.21m.
- The most significant open exposures of interest are the on the puts side with 24k of open position at the $75/bbl strike while the main call option volumes sit a $78/bbl , $79/bbl and $80/bbl.
