Glapinski Says NBP Sees No Risk Of Core Inflation Remaining Elevated


NBP Governor Glapinski tells his press conference that the central bank does not expect core CPI inflation to remain elevated, based on the most recent signals included in the latest macroeconomic projection.

  • Glapinski suggests that core inflation "always" tracks headline inflation and the two measures of price pressures are expected to ease. He notes that core inflation will follow headline inflation lower with a slight lag.
