Kazakhstan Raised BTC Crude Exports By 75% MoM In April

Kazakhstan boosted oil exports from the Caspian port of Aktau to Azerbaijan's Baku to increase April's flows via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline by 75% from March, Kaztransoil said.

  • Exports via the pipeline rose to 152,400 tonnes in April. Total oil exports from Aktau in April rose by 24% on the month to 312,600 tonnes.
  • Kazakhstan has sought ways to decrease its dependence on Russian exporting routes because it has often faced difficulties in selling oil through Russia.
