- The Ukrainian foreign minister, in an interview on BBG TV, talks down Putin's earlier "progress" comment, says there was "zero progress" with Lavrov in Turkey yesterday.
- Says Russian position changes depending on what is going on on the ground in Ukraine. If you put all of Russia's demands together, looks more like a demand for the surrender of Ukraine rather than any base of negotiation.
- On Ukrainian neutrality, Kuleba says Ukraine currently exists in security vacuum - most pressing issue is to stop the war and provide Ukraine with security guarantees with other nations (hinting toward NATO-type agreement).
- Use of biological / chemical weapons should be a red line, but Ukraine has not received any information from the US on what price Russia will pay if they resort to use of such weapons.
- In the interests of the West as well as Ukraine to stop Russia, so sanctions are for the sake of Ukraine as well as the rest of the World. The sanctions are tough, but as long as Russian soldiers are still in Ukraine and as long as other countries bypass sanctions, they must be stepped up in pressure.
