LNG volumes at sea fell 7.3% in the last week but remain well above normal, according to Bloomberg.

  • The quantity of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 20 days was down to 4.25m tons as of Dec. 29 after pulling back from a high of over 5m tons at times in November. The previous five year average for the time of year is 2.47m tons.
  • The estimated volume of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 30 days is relatively unchanged at 2.34m tons compared to 2.35m tons a week ago.
