MNI (BEIJING) - China’s electricity consumption rose 8.6% y/y in February to 743.4 billion kilowatt hours, data from the National Energy Administration showed on Tuesday, driven by a 12.4% increase in industrial demand.

Household demand went up 4.2%, the data showed. From January to February, total electricity consumption reached 1556.4 billion kilowatt hours, a y/y increase of 1.3%.
