MNI BRIEF: Fed Can Take Short Pause In Rate Cuts - Harker
Fed's Harker was speaking at a business conference.
MNI (WASHINGTON) - Choppy U.S. inflation data suggest a short pause in cutting interest rates would be appropriate, Philadelphia Fed President Patrick Harker said Thursday.
"it's appropriate for us to take a bit of a pause right now and see how things shake out. So we can we can stay where we are for a little bit, probably not long." (See: MNI INTERVIEW: Fed Won't Consider Cuts Until March - Benigno)
