PEN Consolidates Over 2% Gain, Argentine Presidential Delegation In Spain

  • Peruvian Sol the major beneficiary on Monday. PEN led global gains and posted its biggest daily gain since April 2016 after a Sunday poll showed pro-market presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori catching up with left-wing opponent Pedro Castillo. Interestingly, Peru's dollar-denominated debt due in 2031 surged to 101 cents on the dollar Monday, their highest level since Castillo unexpectedly won the first round in April.
