• Prime Minister Donald Tusk is expected to announce the decision on the future of a planned logistics and transportation hub, teh so-called Central Communication Port. The idea was conceived under the previous administration as one of its flagship infrastructural megaprojects and was supposed to involve the construction of a hub airport connected to a network of high-speed rail. The new government's choice to effectively press pause on the realisation of the investment and commission a series of audits has drawn criticism from a number of military, transportation and logistics experts, PM Tusk's coalition partners, as well as the wider public. A recent IBRIS/DGP poll showed that nearly 60% of respondents were in favour of the continuation of the project, while 22.6% were against. The government appears to have changed its approach, with recent communications suggesting that the project will be amended and optimalised rather than frozen or abandoned. However, it has also been suggested that the project could be completed in 2035 rather than the initially announced 2028.
  • President Andrzej Duda used his ongoing visit to China to push for more balanced trade relations between the two countries, expressing hope that the current barriers to trade and investment will be gradually lifted. He also said that it is in both countries' interest for Russia's invasion of Ukraine to end with a durable peace and the restoration of the primacy of international law.
