Russia Resumes Natural Gas Supplies To Moldova After Break

Moldova has resumed gas purchases from Gazprom in March after a break of around three months, Moldovagaz head Vadim Ceban said.

  • "In March of this year, on the basis of a current contract, Gazprom has been providing the supply of natural gas to the Republic of Moldova of 5.7mcm/d," Ceban said.
  • Since December Russia had only been providing gas supplies to Moldova’s Russian-backed Transdniestria separatist region.
  • In the fourth quarter of last year, Gazprom supplied 5.7mcm/d to Moldova.
