Senate Begins Work On Court Law, Biden To Visit Poland

  • The Senate begins work on key court legislation needed to unlock EU recovery funds. The upper house is expected to propose amendments, sending the legislation back to the lower house. Gazeta Wyborcza reported that if parliament approves the legislation, President Andrzej Duda will likely sign it into law, while also sending it to the Constitutional Court for review.
  • U.S. President Joe Biden confirmed that he will soon visit Poland but refused to give any specific date. The NBC and CNN had earlier reported that the POTUS could come to Europe around the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
  • Poland's economic docket is very light today.
