LNG: US LNG Exports Fell Last Week But Feedgas Recovers to Record High

The number of US LNG export cargoes fell to 26 in the week to Mar. 19 from 29 the previous week, according to the EIA. Total capacity of the vessels dropped to 98bcf from 110bcf.

  • Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals increased 0.6bcf/d w/w to 16.4bcf/d, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights.
  • Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana increased 2% (0.2bcf/d) to 10.7bcf/d and deliveries to South Texas increased 8.7% (0.4bcf/d) to 4.5bcf/d.
  • Exports have fallen following dips to feedgas supply to Corpus Christi and Freeport at times this month and despite the ongoing ramp up at Plaquemines LNG.
  • US LNG export terminal feedgas is today at another record high of 16.1bcf/d, according to Bloomberg, compared to an average of 15.25bcf/d so far in March.
