MNI (London): The authorities are to ‘finetune’ the COVID approach via 10 new measures (while stating it is not passive re-opening):
- More accurately divide risk areas (refining enforced lockdowns to specific buildings, floors and households)
- No longer enforce the proof of negative test results for those moving region-to-region
- Mild and asymptomatic can isolate at home, rather than in a centralized location
- Increase the speed at which high risk areas are unlocked, reduced to 5 consecutive days with no new infections
- Drop restrictions on pharmacies, and ensure they are well stocked and operating normally
- Accelerate vaccination of the elderly
- Give more powers to local doctors and health institutions to monitor and track the health of local communities
- Ensure normal operation of society by not restricting the flow of people, business and industry throughout the epidemic response
- Strengthen security guarantees to ensure access to medical treatment (e.g. enforce ban on blocking fire exits)
- Optimize the virus response in schools, with all schools open fully outside of risk areas
