Delegates: Talks Have Not Yet Managed To Resolve Standoff-Wires

Wires reporting comments from OPEC+ delegates saying that today's talks have, as yet, been unable to resolve the standoff - primarily believed to be between Saudi Arabia and the UAE - on future production levels.

  • UAE pushing hard for significant supply hikes in order to allow the country to expand its oil production levels following an increase in its production capacity in recent times.
  • Despite comments earlier from the Kremlin stating that high-level negotiations are not planned (see 1108BST bullet), should the impasse drag on much further more senior individuals than national delegates and energy/oil ministers may be required to intervene to reach a deal.
