COMMODITIES: Iron ore prices are trading in a narrowing range with a break below
support increasingly likely amid the escalating US-China trade conflict. The
September DCE contract bounced tentatively off support earlier today at CNY450
but remains capped by its 50 and 100DMAs. 
- The collapse in the industrial commodity complex over the past month, in line
with the performance of Chinese stocks, is a headwind for iron ore, as is the
broad trend of depreciation in the AUD, given Australia's role as the major iron
ore supplier.
