Stocks weaker in European trade, fading some of late Monday's rally post-Trump exit from hospital.

  • Asian stocks closed higher (China still on holiday), with Japan's NIKKEI up 121.59 pts or +0.52% at 23433.73 and the TOPIX up 8.5 pts or +0.52% at 1645.75. The HANG SENG ended 212.87 pts higher or +0.9% at 23980.65.
  • European equities are on the back foot, with the German Dax down 18.81 pts or -0.15% at 12811.28, FTSE 100 down 33.28 pts or -0.56% at 5908.81, CAC 40 down 10.14 pts or -0.21% at 4861.46 and Euro Stoxx 50 down 9.87 pts or -0.31% at 3211.18.
  • U.S. futures are lower, with the Dow Jones mini down 22 pts or -0.08% at 27973, S&P 500 mini down 7.75 pts or -0.23% at 3385.5, NASDAQ mini down 44.75 pts or -0.39% at 11425.5.
