Ramaphosa Resignation Not Being Considered

The position would replace Ismail Momoniat, who took the role on a temporary basis after the departure of Mogajane at the beginning of this week.
  • Daily Maverick write that the tentative agreement struck between workers’ unions and Sibanye Stillwater gold mine has not prevented fresh strike action, with sources telling the newspaper that various clauses are still being negotiated behind closed doors.
  • Flood relief funds in the KwaZulu-Natal area remain a point of contention, with News24 reporting that stakeholders will meet with the committee on flood disaster relief to find out the fate of the R1bln in funds that is yet to be accessed for flood relief purposes.
  • Today, lawmakers and ministers are to debate the Presidency’s budget vote, with President Ramaphosa making an appearance to open the proceedings.
