30Y Gilts Back At 4%, 2s30s Still Positive

30Y Gilt yields back at 4% for the first time since last Thursday - up 11bp on the day and 14bp since the BoE's long-dated Gilt purchase operation. See chart.

  • The 2s30s spread had briefly reversed into inversion prior to the BoE op - it's moved back positive with the short end rally being sustained.
  • Latest UK yields: 2-Yr yield is down 13.2bps at 3.921%, 5-Yr is down 13.7bps at 4.089%, 10-Yr is down 10.7bps at 3.857%, and 30-Yr is up 8.8bps at 3.976%.
