CABLE: A case of no news is good news and a downtick for the USD is supporting
cable in early trade this week, with the rate probing $1.3100 after a break back
above the 21-DMA at $1.3090 N.B. Friday saw a venture above, but a close below
the 21-DMA.
- As a reminder, Friday saw broader USD weakness, while some pointed to an extra
leg of support coming from an interview with EU's Von Der Leyen, who suggested a
mid-2020 reflection on a transition period extension as part of the Brexit
process could be a sensible option.
- Rate peaked at $1.3117 Friday, which provides the initial; target for bulls.
Above there, the Dec 18 high at $1.3134 provides key resistance.
