A Muted Morning

JGBS

A narrow range for futures during the Tokyo morning, hitting the bell -12 vs. settlement, confined to the lower end of the overnight session range. The major benchmark yields across the cash JGB curve trade within a 0.5bp band either side of unchanged, while super-long swap spreads have seen some modest widening. Local headline flow has been particularly light, with focus on this week's JGB issuance schedule evident (which gets under way with 5-Year JGBs this afternoon).
