GOLD: A very quiet European morning session saw the bearish tone continue with
the price drifting from $1244.50 to session lows of $1240.65. The arrival of NY
witnessed broad based dollar demand as US Tsys yields firmed, the rate dropped
to new session lows of $1240.37.
- The release of weaker than expected US Core CPI Data witnessed the rate spike
to fresh session highs of $1247.48 session before drifting back towards
$1244.00.
- The precious metal received a lift following comments by GOP Senator
Flake, and saying he is undecided on tax vote, US Tsys yields dropped and XAU
rallied to fresh session highs of $1248.65 before drifting back towards
$1245.00.
-As US Tsys Yields slide and the dollar drops just ahead of the FOMC, the
precious metal gets a boost spiking to fresh session highs of $1249.10 before
fading back towards $1247.50.
-Gold spiked to fresh highs after the FED raises rates, the price has spiked to
fresh highs of $1255.52.
