Activity Picks Up During USD Downtick

FOREX

Desks flag an uptick in activity during the London morning after what was a fairly sedate round of Asia-Pac trade in terms of interbank FX turnover. Interbank activity in FX now sits 15-20% above the recent norms, per the same desks. with participants seemingly willing to be a little more active when it comes to promoting the pre-NY downtick in the greenback.

  • A quick reminder that the early sell-side projections that we have seen point towards modest USD selling requirements at month-end.
