EURO-DOLLAR: After rallying on apparent positive advances in Italian fiscal
matters early Wednesday EUR/USD struggled ahead of $1.1600, as questions re: the
Italian budget situation re-emerged and broader USD strength took hold.
- The rate ultimately broke below $1.1500, closing below the figure and last
deals at ~$1.1480. Bears now look to the 76.4% retracement of the Aug low - Sep
high ($1.1422). Bulls initially need to reclaim $1.1500, to prevent bears from
gaining additional momentum.
- Focus Thursday turns to comments from ECB's Nowotny & Hansson.
