Ahead of tonight's Q4 GDP release.......>

NEW ZEALAND
NEW ZEALAND: Ahead of tonight's Q4 GDP release (2145GMT) analysts at ANZ expect
respectable GDP growth of 0.7% q/q in Q4, which would see annual growth tick up
to 3.1%.
- ASB expect GDP growth of 0.8% in the final quarter of 2017, which would lift
the annual pace of growth to 3.1% from 2.7% (as Q4 2016 was a very soft
quarter). Their forecast for growth is close to the RBNZ's February MPS
expectations (0.7% q/q) and an outcome in this vicinity is unlikely to change
the RBNZ's policy assessment at the March 22nd OCR review.
- Westpac expect a 0.6% rise in GDP for the quarter, similar to the subdued pace
in the previous quarter.
