Algeria’s Gas Production to Rise 4bcm in 2023

Algeria’s natural gas production is on track to rise 4bcm this year due to production from new fields, the Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab said, cited by Montel.

  • Algeria’s gas production is set to rise to 106bcm this year, up from 102bcm last year.
  • Increased production will help "reinforce export capacities to Europe", Arkab said, according to a report from Algerian newswire APS.
  • The country announced earlier that is plans to increase gas flows to Italy to 30.2bcm/yr in 2023, up from 21bcm previously via the Transmed pipeline.
